High-level talks to boost stability

Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a series of high-level meetings with regional and international leaders over the past two days, focusing on the latest developments and efforts to enhance stability and cooperation.

During a meeting in Abu Dhabi, H H the Amir held talks with the President of the United Arab Emirates H H Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The discussions addressed the latest regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East. Both leaders exchanged views on current challenges and emphasised the importance of dialogue, diplomatic solutions and joint coordination to support security and stability in the region.

In a post on his official account on X, the Amir described the meeting as a “fruitful fraternal encounter,” noting that it covered prospects for cooperation in vital sectors in addition to regional developments and efforts aimed at strengthening stability and dialogue.

The Amir also participated in a trilateral meeting alongside Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and King of Jordan H M King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein on Monday. The leaders reviewed recent regional and international developments and discussed ways to enhance coordination on issues of common concern.
Separately, H H the Amir held bilateral talks with HRH the Saudi Crown Prince, during which both sides discussed the latest developments at regional and international levels. The discussions also focused on strengthening cooperation and continued consultation between the two countries.

Following the meeting, the Amir stressed that talks centred on regional developments, underlining the importance of coordination and unified efforts to address ongoing challenges and maintain stability.

In another engagement, H H the Amir received the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for Defence H E John Healey. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in defence and security fields.

Meanwhile, Qatar reaffirmed its support for efforts to ease tensions in the region. Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, expressed hope that Pakistan’s mediation efforts would contribute to achieving peace and stability.

Al Ansari highlighted the importance of dialogue and mediation in resolving conflicts, noting that such initiatives could help de-escalate tensions and promote regional stability. 

These engagements reflect Qatar’s ongoing coordination with regional and international partners to address current developments and reinforce security and stability across the region.
