Condemnation of the treacherous attack by Israel on Qatar has been pouring in from all over the world, with governments, organisations, and international bodies stressing their full solidarity with Qatar and reaffirming their support for any measures the country may choose to adopt in order to safeguard its sovereignty, strengthen its national security, and protect the well-being of its citizens as well as its residents.
An Arab-Islamic summit is scheduled to be held in Doha from September 14 to 15 to deliberate on a joint course of action carefully. Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani emphasised that Qatar hopes there will be a “collective regional response” to the Israeli attack on Hamas officials in Doha, noting that discussions are ongoing to ensure a strong and coordinated stance. “There is a regional response. It is currently under consultation and discussion with other partners in the region," His Excellency said.
World leaders and senior officials have been repeatedly underlining that the Israeli attack on Qatar constitutes not only a blatant violation of national sovereignty but also a serious breach of international law, representing a direct and dangerous threat to regional security, stability, and peace. The overwhelming global outpouring of solidarity and sympathy towards Qatar clearly shows that the international community has collectively rejected the reckless and unlawful behaviour of Israel, which many have described as nothing less than state terrorism.
Netanyahu and the Israeli government have been spreading false narratives, disinformation campaigns, and extremist rhetoric, all in a blatant attempt to further their criminal cause of killing innocent civilians and deliberately starving thousands of children in Gaza. Observers stress that it is long overdue for these leaders to be brought before justice and held accountable for their repeated atrocities against various countries and populations.
Members of the UN Security Council affirmed their strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the State of Qatar, in line with the principles of the UN Charter. They also highlighted their backing for the vital mediation role that Qatar continues to play in the region alongside Egypt and the United States.
While strongly condemning the Israeli aggression, Qatar has consistently reiterated at numerous international forums that it will adopt all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national dignity, while working closely with its regional and global partners to ensure that peace prevails and criminals face justice.
