With just three months to go, the buzz is steadily building for the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2025. Scheduled for November 28 to 30, this year marks the iconic Lusail International Circuit’s (LIC) fourth time hosting the biggest racing weekend in the country and by now it’s clear the venue has found its rhythm.
Since hosting its debut Formula 1 race in 2021, Lusail has grown in confidence and reputation. What started as an exciting new stop on the calendar has quickly become a fan-favourite. It’s a race that showcases brilliance both on and off the track. From high-speed drama to big-name performances, the Lusail weekend has become a fixture that brings the global spotlight to Qatar.
This year will be no different. With the World Championship title fight heating up, the timing of the race could play a crucial role in deciding the champion. Add to that the return of the sprint format, the packed support schedule and performances from international artists like Seal. It’s clear fans are in for another unforgettable weekend at the venue.
But the Formula 1 races are just one part of Lusail’s expanding motorsport story. The circuit is now confirmed to host the fourth round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship next April, continuing a tradition that began back in 2004. Over the years, MotoGP in Qatar has grown into one of the most anticipated events on the calendar, not just because of the racing, but because it remains the only full night race in the series. Under the lights, Lusail has produced countless iconic moments and riders and fans alike have come to love the atmosphere it creates. Earlier this year, Marc Marquez lit up the Lusail tarmac once again, taking victory in the sprint and main race. His performance was a reminder of just how much this iconic track brings out the best in the world’s top riders.
And that’s not all. Lusail also continues to host the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Qatar 1812 KM, rounding out a calendar that spans almost every form of elite racing. Few circuits in the world can claim to host Formula 1, MotoGP and endurance racing and fewer still do it with the level of organisation and fan experience Lusail has developed.
With Lusail at the forefront, Qatar has established itself as a top global racing destination and the leading hub in the Middle East.
