Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) Cup, part of the Doha Equestrian Tour 2026, will kick off today and will run for four days at the Longines Arena of Al Shaqab.
More than 170 riders, including ranked riders representing 21 countries, will compete in one- to five-star categories for a total prize purse of €784,000.
The first day of the tournament features four classes in the one- and five-star categories, with jumps ranging from 110 cm to 150 cm. The second and third days will feature eight classes: six in the one, three, and five-star categories at varying heights, and two classes for the Future Riders and Juniors categories.
The fourth and final day of the championship will feature three three-star and five-star classes, in addition to the Grand Prix for the three-star class at a height of 150 cm and the Grand Prix at a height of 160 cm, with jump-off rounds.
The inaugural championship is organized by Qatar Equestrian Federation, Al Shaqab and Qatar Olympic Committee.
