Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality (MoM), represented by the Public Cleanliness Department, organised a beach clean-up campaign at Wakra Beach as part of its annual community participation programme, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
The initiative aims to strengthen social responsibility by encouraging community participation in preserving public spaces while raising awareness about the importance of protecting the environment. The campaign focused on promoting a culture of cleanliness and encouraging the public to help maintain the cleanliness of beaches and public facilities.
The Ministry said the initiative forms part of its ongoing efforts to instil environmentally responsible behaviour among community members and enhance awareness of the shared responsibility for protecting Qatar’s natural and recreational areas.
Through such campaigns, the Ministry seeks to foster sustainable practices, support environmental conservation and improve the quality of life.
