Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has reminded motorists that parking in a way that blocks the entrances or exits of homes and buildings is a traffic violation and an offense punishable by law.

Under Article 78, Clause 4, of the Traffic Law, parking in front of house entrances is punishable by a QAR300 fine and three traffic points on the driver’s record.

The Ministry stressed that such violations not only disrupt the movement of vehicles but also interfere with the rights and interests of others.

“Ensuring proper parking in front of homes, without blocking entrances or obstructing the movement of vehicles, helps respect the rights of others and keeps you from receiving a traffic violation,” the Ministry said in a social media post.

The MoI urged motorists to be mindful of where they park and to ensure that entrances and exits remain clear for residents and other road users.
