Ballistic missile falls near Prince Sultan Air Base: Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence said a ballistic missile landed in an uninhabited area after being launched towards Prince Sultan Air Base.
In a statement, the ministry’s official spokesperson said the missile fell without causing casualties or damage.
Prince Sultan Air Base, located southeast of Riyadh, hosts Saudi and US military forces.

HIA issues reminders to passengers, affirms temporary airspace closure
Hamad International Airport issued a statement on Saturday evening, March 7, affirming that the "temporary closure of Qatari airspace remains in effect due to the current situation in the region."
Passengers are once again reminded not to proceed to the airport at this time and to contact their respective airlines directly.
"Any operating flights are due to the opening of a limited corridor for passenger repatriation, temporarily granted and authorised by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, and the relevant authorities. Scheduled flights will resume once the relevant authority confirms the safe reopening of Qatari airspace," HIA said.
The temporary closure of Qatari airspace remains in effect due to the current situation in the region.

Qatar intercepts missile attack
The Ministry of Defense of State of Qatar announced that armed forces intercepted missile attack which targeted the country.
Prior to this update, residents in the country reported hearing loud explosions of interceptions.
The country's Interior Ministry sent out an alert on mobile phones, saying the security threat level has been “elevated” and telling residents to “remain indoors”.
It is the second such alert to be sent out today.
After 30 minutes, at 6:57pm, Doha Time, the Interior Ministry sent out another alert saying that the threat has been eliminated.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has implemented a precautionary reduction in crude oil production and refining throughput as part of its risk management and business continuity strategy.
This comes in light of the ongoing Iranian aggression against the State of Kuwait, including Iranian threats against safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

UKMTO reports maritime incident north of Saudi Arabia’s Jubail
The British Maritime Safety Organisation (UKMTO) has received a third-party report on a maritime incident 10 nautical miles north of Jubail in Saudi Arabia.
The report is being investigated, it said.
It advised vessels to transit with caution, further urging them to report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.

UAE intercepts 15 ballistic missiles, 119 UAVs
The UAE Ministry of Defense stated that its air defence systems detected today, Saturday, March 7, 2026, 16 ballistic missiles, of which, 15 were intercepted and destroyed, while one ballistic missile fell into the sea.
Air defence systems also detected 121 UAVs, of which 119 were intercepted, while two fell within the territory of the UAE.
Since the start of the blatant Iranian aggression, a total of 221 ballistic missiles have been detected, of which 205 were destroyed, while 14 fell into the sea and two missiles landed within the territory of the UAE.
A total of 1,305 Iranian UAVs have also been detected, of which 1,229 were intercepted, while 76 UAVs fell within the territory of the UAE. Eight cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.
The Ministry said that these attacks resulted in three deaths of Pakistani, Nepali and Bangladeshi nationals, and 112 minor injuries among individuals of Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian and Turkish nationalities.

Bahrain’s international airport says it will remain temporarily suspended due to airspace closure.
Al Jazeera also reported that Iraqi authorities have announced the extension of the closure of the country’s airspace until 12noon (9:00 GMT) on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 as a “temporary precautionary measure”

Saudi Arabia intercepts, destroys two more drones
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence says two additional drones have been intercepted, Al Jazeera reports.
One was destroyed east of the capital, Riyadh, and another in the country’s “Empty Quarter” desert zone as it travelled towards the Shaybah oilfields.
The country’s air defences have been engaging and destroying drones and ballistic missiles since the early hours of Saturday morning.
