DOHA: Qatar Vanimal Pravasi Forum (QVPF), a socio-cultural organisation of Indian expatriates from Vanimal Panchayat in Kerala, hosted its annual Iftar gathering at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium Recreation Hall, bringing together over 800 community members.
The event was widely praised for its excellent organisation and strong turnout, reflecting the enduring unity and vibrancy of the Vanimal diaspora in Qatar.
For the past 25 years, QVPF has been a cornerstone of community engagement, promoting arts, culture, education, and public service across Qatar. The Iftar gathering highlighted the forum’s ongoing commitment to fostering connections within the diaspora.
Wajid Wafi Chembrassery delivered an inspiring Ramadan message, emphasising the significance of such communal gatherings in strengthening bonds among expatriates. ICBF Secretary Jafar Thayyil extended his greetings, while QVPF General Secretary Sadath Saga officially welcomed attendees. President Subair K K presided over the function, and Treasurer Faisal V P expressed a vote of thanks to the community for their participation and support.
A special highlight of the evening was a session by Zaneeja, a renowned mind coach in Qatar, who addressed hundreds of women members on personal growth and empowerment. Selika Amjad welcomed the gathering. Former Panchayat President Suraiyya Teacher also addressed the community.
