A new park yesterday started welcoming visitors in the Al Khor & Al Dakhira Municipality area.
The Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment opened Al Kaaban Park spread over 10,693 square metres.
The family park has sunshades and rubber flooring in playgrounds. It also has a fountain and walking trails. Mohammed Ali Al Khouri, Director of Public Parks at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment earlier told The Peninsula that the department was striving to make Qatar a green oasis.
Al Kaaban Park is monitored by cameras, and free Wi-Fi will soon be available to visitors.
