DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health has warned against the consumption of grape leaves products in the current period until another clarification from the ministry in this regard.
The Ministry said it conducted an assessment of the potential risk level, drawing samples from all varieties of grape leaves (fresh and processed) that are traded in the markets from all brands and countries of origin and analysed them in its laboratory, noting that the results showed that a large number of samples contained pesticide residues at rates exceeding permissible limits.
