DOHA: Shopping malls taking part in the ongoing Qatar Summer Festival (QSF) are expected to attract huge crowds this Eid Al Adha with entertainment offerings lined up for the entire family.
Mall-goers can look forward to a number of shows which will rotate around the participating malls including Al Khor Mall, Al Mirqab Mall, B Square Mall, Dar Al Salam Mall, Doha Festival City, Gulf Mall, Hyatt Plaza, Landmark Mall, Lagoona Mall and Mall of Qatar from the first to the fifth day of Eid.
The shows include Peter Pan’s Adventure, Levitation Man, Superheroes: Live Avengers Doubles, Characters from Frozen, The Roaming Robots, and Qatar Traditional Dance.
Apart from the rotating shows, the malls have also prepared their own unique shows presented several times every day as well as activities for children. Mall of Qatar has SquarePants Live Show, which will start the day before Eid Al Adha, Al Rayyan TV Live Show and Spirit Kids Choir.
In partnership with one of the most popular kids channel Cartoon Network, Doha Festival City presents Ben 10 live shows in addition to an augmented reality platform, called the Ben 10 Hero Experience AR Pod which will allow children to transform into one of the four signature aliens. It will also have Al Rayyan TV show’s “Ya’ Alaydo.”
Mall Entertainment Schedule
Visitors to Al Khor Mall will enjoy traditional Syrian Arda and Jordanian and Palestinian dabkeh dance performances as well as a magic show. In addition there will be several activities for children including henna, balloon twisting and face painting.
Dar Al Salam Mall has two shows in store for visitors including The Princess and the Beast and The Frozen Land.
Hyatt Plaza has Robin Hood Live Stage Show, Mirqab Mall is presenting Minions Live Show, and Lagoona Mall is staging Sleeping Beauty to entertain their visitors.
Coupled with attractive promotions and big discounts in various brands, the shows are set to be a big draw at the malls. In addition QSF will also give away cash prizes to eight winners totaling QR350,000 and a Lamborghini Huracan (2018 model) luxury super car at the final draw at the end of the month at Doha Festival City.
During the Eid holiday, people are also expected to throng the Summer Entertainment City, QSF’s centerpiece located at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre which features 75 gaming experiences, 40 food outlets and a Summer Shopping Souq.
Meanwhile, tickets to Doha Comedy Festival, one of the features of QSF presented in partnership with The Social Studio, have been sold out.
The show, which takes place tomorrow at Qatar National Convention Centre, topbills American superstar comedian Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias featuring comedy actor and writer Alfred Robles to be hosted by Qatari comedian Hamad Al Ammari.
