Geneva: The Sultanate of Oman has reaffirmed the necessity of ensuring safe, unhindered navigation through the Strait of Hormuz in compliance with international law and the UN Law of the Sea.
Addressing a UN session, Permanent Representative Ambassador Idris bin Abdul Rahman Al Khanjari warned that recent developments in the strait threaten global trade, energy security, and economic stability, particularly impacting developing nations.
Al Khanjari stated that Oman is pursuing consultations to secure practical, sustainable arrangements for maritime transit, emphasizing open communication to reduce misunderstandings and foster peaceful solutions.
