Floaties Festival

This community event will feature a variety of fun and recreational activities in a safe, family-friendly atmosphere, including free swimming zones dedicated for children and adults as well as a ladies only area.
Entry to the beach will be free for children under six years old and people with disabilities. Tickets for children aged under 14 will cost QR15, while adults will pay QR35.

Qatar-Mexico Year of Culture: Sounds of Mexico

Bringing the vibrant sounds of Mexico to audiences in Qatar, renowned conductor Enrique Diemecke leads the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in a special Qatar-Mexico Year of Culture concert.
The programme features works by Márquez, Chávez, Galindo and Revueltas, including the much-loved Danzón No. 2, celebrating Mexico’s rich musical heritage through rhythm and colour.

Uzbekistan: Heritage in Motion

Museum of Islamic Art, MIA
This exhibition explores the Uzbekistan’s rich Islamic heritage and its lasting influence on its culture, creativity and national identity.
Organised in partnership with the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, the exhibition traces the country’s Islamic history from before the 8th-century conquest of Central Asia to the present day, highlighting the connection between its heritage and its identity as a modern nation.
Visitors can discover historic manuscripts, architecture, ceramics, jewellery, clothing and silk textiles while learning about influential Islamic thinkers and the Samanid and Timurid eras.

Local camel race

Al-Shahaniya Camel Racetrack
The first local race competitions feature several camel age categories, including Al-Haqaiq, Al-Liqaa, Al-Jidzaa, Al-Thanaaya, Al-Hayl and Al-Zamool.
The races features camels owned by Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Sheikhs, as well as camels belonging to tribesmen.
Race distances vary by age group, typically ranging from 2 to 5 kilometres.

Flowers of the Past

Young artists aged 8–11 can explore the beauty of Islamic art and artefacts through an immersive gallery tour at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), followed by a hands-on creative workshop.
Led by Kaltham Al-Thani, the workshop invites children to discover the intricate designs of pots and vases before sketching and painting their own designs on cardboard.
Participants will then transform their creations into functional pieces by adding holes for plants and flowers.
