Doha:  Qatar Airways has extended its gratitude to the frontline healthcare professionals at the Swab and Research Center of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), for their unwavering support to the airline during the COVID-19 pandemic. Qatar Airways’ medical team, led by Qatar Airways Group Medical Director, Dr. John Roberts, visited Hamad Medical City yesterday to offer their thanks and appreciation to the dedicated healthcare staff for their influential efforts to both the airline and the nation.

To date, the center has conducted thousands of precautionary COVID-19 swab tests for Qatar Airways staff, including cabin crew and pilots, and have worked around the clock to provide test results in short notice. The Swab and Research Center’s work for Qatar Airways is just one part of the support it has provided to the State of Qatar and its people, having also provided research and testing services for the public, embassies, private and government entities, schools and other companies with their remarkable services.

“It is our great honour to witness the dedication, kindness and professionalism of the Hamad Medical Corporation staff who have demonstrated unwavering effforts within the community, which is a testament to the country’s admirable vision to promote the health and well-being of all residents.”

Executive Director Corporate Quality Patient Safety and Principle Manager Swab Research Center, Dr. Moza Abdulatif Alishaq, said: “We are proud to support Qatar Airways and our wider community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and have administered seamless processes to conduct the the swab tests in the shortest time possible for Qatar Airways staff. Our healthcare sector remains dedicated to its comprehensive measures to confront COVID-19 and protect Qatar’s population.”
