Doha: The Industrial Inspection and Pollution Control Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has conducted many inspection campaigns on industrial facilities in the Industrial Area to ensure the compliance of environmental requirements.
The campaign covered over 92 factories in the Industrial Area and municipal inspectors recorded 17 environmental violations. Legal actions were taken against the erring factories.
After recording the violations, violators are being referred to the security authorities for further legal actions.
Three factories were also asked to rectify their environmental conditions.
This came within the framework of the Ministry's efforts to curb the violations to preserve the environment, said the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in a statement.
