President of Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) Ali Ghanim Al Kuwari affirmed that they have received a letter from the GCC Volleyball Organizing Committee on the cancellation of all GCC tournaments because of the current crisis in the region.
Al Kuwari said that Qatar was scheduled to host the GCC Junior Volleyball Championship in September, but was cancelled in accordance with this decision along with a number of other tournaments, including the men’s championship in Bahrain.
QVA will take legal action to preserve its right and to prove the damage caused as a result of this decision because there were commitments and agreements signed by the association with a number of companies, hotels and institutions to organise this tournament, Al Kuwari underlined.
