Cairo: Minister of Transport H E Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti met in Cairo with Minister of Transport and Logistic Services of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H E Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al Jasser.

Held on the sidelines of the 34th Session of the Council of Arab Transport Ministers, the meeting discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of transportation and civil aviation and ways of further enhancing them, in addition to mutually supporting the nominations of the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the membership of the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which is the Executive Organ of IMO, for the period 2022-2023. 

The two ministers also discussed several topics that interest the two brotherly countries.

H E Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti also met in Cairo with Minister of Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt H E Vice-Admiral Eng. Kamel Elwazir, on the sidelines of the Arab transport ministers’ meeting. 

The two ministers discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of transportation and civil aviation and ways of further enhancing them, in addition to mutually supporting the nominations of the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt for the membership of the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which is the Executive Organ of IMO, for the period 2022-2023.

They also discussed several topics that interest the two brotherly countries. Al Sulaiti affirmed Qatar’s commitment to backing the application by Egypt to host the IMO Regional Office for Arab States in accordance with the decision issued by the Council of Arab Transport Ministers in 2019.
