Municipal officials and inspectors observing a heap of construction wastes at Muraikh
Doha: The General Cleanliness Department has launched an inspection campaign to curb the practice of throwing construction wastes in residential areas.
The campaign also aims to make a plan to bring about an appropriate solution to end this practice, which attracts insects and looks unpleasant, said the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in a release.
Director of the General Cleaning Department Muqbil Al Shammari said that private sector should throw the wastes at the designated places following the Law No. 18 of 2017 of general hygiene to avoid legal action.
Al Shammair thanked Lekhwiya for quick response and cooperation as well as municipality directors for their active participation to curb the practice of throwing waste at random places.
Director of the General Cleaning Department set up a working team comprising Deputy Director of the General Cleaning Department, Head of Beaches and Islands Section and a number of municipal inspectors to curb the practice of throwing construction wastes in the residential areas.
The working team led by Head of General Monitoring Section at Al Rayan Municipality conducted inspection campaign in Muraikh to check the violation.
