Doha: Ahli Bank has announced its platinum sponsorship of the QFBA Finance Researcher Award 2026, reinforcing its support for national initiatives that promote research excellence, innovation and knowledge creation across Qatar’s financial sector.
Launched by Qatar Finance and Business Academy in 2024, the Finance Researcher Award is a national initiative that recognises excellence in financial research and supports Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Award encourages innovation and evidence-based knowledge in finance, banking and economics, and has continued to grow in participation, institutional engagement and national impact since its launch.
Ahlibank’s platinum sponsorship reflects the Bank’s commitment to supporting platforms that strengthen the connection between academic research and the evolving needs of the financial industry. The Award recognises undergraduate and master’s students, as well as academic researchers in Qatar, for innovative and impactful research, while providing a platform for young researchers to showcase their work and contribute to the development of Qatar’s financial and banking sector.
As part of Ahlibank’s involvement, Sara Ahmed Fakhroo, Head of Human Resources at Ahlibank, is serving as a member of the Award’s Board of Trustees for the QFBA Finance Researcher Award 2026.
The Board provides strategic oversight, supports the Award’s long-term development, strengthens partnerships, endorses the final Award results and promotes the highest standards of transparency, fairness and institutional governance.
