Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dar Al Sharq Media Group, Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, has issued a decision appointing Abdullah Talib Al Marri as Editor-in-Chief of Al Arab newspaper.
The step comes within the framework of institutional and improvement of work, attracting Qatari cadres, enhancing their presence, and assuming leadership positions in the Dar Al Sharq Group.
Abdullah Al Marri is one of the distinguished media personnel, who held the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Al Arab newspaper, during which he demonstrated high competence. He also held the position of Managing Editor of Al Raya, in addition to other media positions.
Al Arab newspaper is the first and oldest Qatari daily that started publishing in 1972, and last year it joined Dar Al Sharq Group, becoming the fourth daily published by the Group, which include The Peninsula English newspaper, Al Sharq and Lusail Arabic newspapers, in addition to a number of important media platforms.
