QIIB has launched a new qualitative update to the bank’s mobile banking and Internet banking applications, which will provide value addition to a wide range of banking services already a v a i l a b l e t o customers through the bank’s 24/7 digital channels.
In particular, the new update allows customers to apply and obtain immediate personal finance without the need to visit any of the bank’s branches.
Customers can also update their information through QIIB mobile banking and internet banking applications, thus avoiding any unnecessary visit to the bank’s branches and any partial or complete interruption of the banking services as a result of the customer’s delay in updating his or her information.
In order to facilitate customers’ participation in initial public offerings announced from time to time, the new mobile banking and internet banking update from QIIB allows submission of applications to participate in IPOs via mobile banking and internet banking with ease, without the need to visit any of the bank’s branches.
Omar Abdulaziz Al Meer, Head of Business Development and Alternative Channels Sector at QIIB, said: “We are pleased to inform our customers the availability of more important services through QIIB’s mobile banking and internet banking applications.
These are part of our commitment to provide the best banking solutions to our customers, whether through branches or digital services that are witnessing an unprecedented boom around the world. At QIIB, we are keeping pace with this boom by providing more services through our various digital channels”.
He added: “The most important characteristic of the new update is the switch from providing banking services to providing financing as well, which is a leap in the bank’s digital transformation which we hope will save our customers a lot of time, efforts and procedures; and provide them with the ability to submit applications and update their account information instantly, at any time, without the need to visit the bank’s branches.
We are thus pleased to respond to continuous demands made by our customers in this regard.”
Al Meer noted that the other important service introduced by the new mobile banking and internet banking update is the IPO subscription through digital channels. This means, customers no longer have to wait at centres that handle the IPO processes.
During future IPOs, QIIB customers will be able to complete their subscription from the comfort of their home or place of stay, with ease, as part of the bank’s plan to increase its operational efficiency during IPOs.
He added that QIIB used to announce updates on its digital channels at long intervals. But now, the bank announces the availability of new services more frequently, as part of its response to the market conditions, and its desire to transform challenges into opportunities and build on what it has previously achieved in the field of digital channels.
These channels gained the bank’s customers’ satisfaction and have become permanent branches from which they obtain various services at all times.
Al Meer said: “Clients’ ambitions are business plans for the bank. We always strive to keep pace with the latest global developments in the banking sector and provide customers with the best, swift, most professional and most reliable banking solutions.
We are happy with our customers’ strong response to these efforts, which was reflected on our expanding customer base and a higher index of satisfaction with the products and services that we offer them”.
He added: “The bank is currently seeking to launch new services and features on its various digital channels. We recently launched a visual banking phone service, the first of its kind in Qatar.
And we are looking at having our digital channels cover all banking services soon, as per our strategy that we hope to realise as planned”.
Customers can download the QIIB mobile banking application or updates on the current application by visiting the App Store, Google Play, or through the settings option in QIIB mobile application that they have previously installed on their mobile phones.
