Thief returns Palestinian woman's stolen bag with letter of apology

Doha, Qatar: A stolen handbag belonging to a Palestinian woman was anonymously returned with a handwritten apology after the thief reportedly discovered her nationality and medical condition.

According to Al Jazeera the Palestinian woman was surprised the next morning with her bag in front of her house with a letter of apology.

The thief also returned $275 that was in the bag, with a letter of apology demanding forgiveness, writing: "Forgive me, I didn't know you were Palestinian, and if I had known, I wouldn't have stolen from you."

The gesture gained attention on social media, where many users responded humorously, some even calling the larcenist a “thief with principles” for returning the woman's belongings.
