Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar has achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning three awards in the fifth season of the “Future Science Challenge” competition, organized by the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Giftedness and Innovation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This year’s edition focused on the tourism and hospitality sector, aiming to enhance students’ understanding of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. The competition witnessed broad Arab participation, with 681 teams taking part, comprising 1,713 male and female students from across the Arab world. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) in statement, said that Qatar participated with 40 teams, nine of which qualified for the final stage, while three teams succeeded in winning awards across different categories.
The winning Qatari teams achieved the following results: The team Access Maker from Al Mashaf Primary School for Girls won the “Best Engineer” award in the junior category. The team included students Fatima Abdullah Samir Al-Akar, Wijdan Mohammed Salem Mash’ab, and Dania Mahmoud Al-Sayed, under the supervision of team coordinator Yaman Mohammed Maher Sufi. The Future Falcons team from Ahmed Mansour Primary School for Boys won the “Outstanding Designer” award in the junior category. The team included students Nawaf Mohammed Nawaf Al-Majlad and Rashid Ahmed Abdul Latif Al-Mutawa, under the supervision of team coordinator Qutaiba Salim Benshe.
The Turath Tech team from Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys won the “Outstanding Innovator” award in the professional category. The team included students Jassim Hamad Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Malki and Abdullah Hamad Mohammed Amer Al-Qahtani, under the supervision of team coordinator Fawzi Essam Bou Fakhruddin.
This achievement reflects the excellence of Qatari students in innovation and technology fields, and underscores the success of Qatar’s efforts in supporting and nurturing young talent, enabling them to actively contribute to building a knowledge-based society and achieving sustainable development.
