Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has reiterated the importance of wearing seatbelts while driving, reminding motorists that this simple safety measure plays a key role in protecting both drivers and passengers and promoting safer journeys on Qatar’s roads.
In an awareness message, the ministry urged motorists to make fastening their seatbelts an essential part of every journey. It stressed that complying with seatbelt requirements contributes to enhancing the safety of motorists and their companions, while also demonstrating their commitment to traffic laws and regulations. The MoI’s reminder comes as part of its continued efforts to strengthen traffic awareness and encourage road users to adopt responsible driving practices. The ministry regularly highlights the importance of following traffic rules as a shared responsibility that helps create a safer road environment for all.
The ministry emphasised that seatbelt use is important not only for the driver but also for passengers travelling in the vehicle. Ensuring that everyone is properly secured before a journey begins is an essential road safety practice.
