Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call today from President of the Republic of Lebanon HE General Joseph Aoun.
During the call, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them.
In this regard, HE the Lebanese President praised the positions of the State of Qatar in support of Lebanon, as well as its efforts aimed at supporting its security and stability, expressing his appreciation to HH the Amir for Qatar's continuous support for Lebanon and its people.
For his part, HH the Amir reaffirmed the State of Qatar's position in support of the Lebanese Republic and its standing alongside the brotherly Lebanese people, expressing his hope that diplomatic efforts would contribute to enhancing security and stability in Lebanon and the region.
Views were also exchanged on a number of issues of mutual concern.
