Doha, Qatar: University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) will sponsor and participate in the second edition of the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum (AEMOB Forum 2026), taking place from 7 to 9 September 2026, at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
Held under the Strategic Hostship of the Ministry of Transport, the forum will bring together government leaders, policymakers, industry experts, innovators, researchers, and academics to explore the future of autonomous and electric mobility while advancing sustainable transportation solutions in Qatar and beyond.
As a university committed to applied learning, innovation, and industry collaboration, UDST’s sponsorship reflects its dedication to supporting national initiatives that accelerate technological advancement and contribute to the development of a sustainable, knowledge-based economy. The forum provides an important platform for knowledge exchange, bringing together leading stakeholders to discuss the future of intelligent mobility, emerging technologies, and sustainable transport solutions.

Further demonstrating its contribution to the forum, UDST will be represented by Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Bidur Khanal, who will deliver a session titled ‘Future Developments of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Qatar.’
His presentation will examine the evolving landscape of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies and their potential to transform mobility, infrastructure, and innovation across the State of Qatar, further showcasing the University’s leadership in applied research, engineering, and technological innovation.
Additionally, Dr Nagi Abdussamie, Dr Zeina Rihawi, and Dr Mira Abi Saad will address electrification and autonomous mobility technologies during the panel discussions. UDST will also showcase a range of innovative prototypes spanning land, maritime, and aerial mobility, including Campus Mobility, Shell Eco Marathon Autonomy Vehicle, an e-Scooter, a prototype e-Dhow, and an UAV.
The showcase will demonstrate the University’s applied approach to developing smart and sustainable mobility solutions and translating research and innovation into practical applications. Supporting the objectives of Qatar’s National Transport Strategy 2025–2030, which aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, the forum reinforces the country’s ambition to become a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility.
