Doha, Qatar: The Amir, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a phone call Thursday from the President of the Czech Republic, HE Petr Pavel.
During the call, HE the Czech President expressed his country’s solidarity with the State of Qatar following the Iranian aggression, and condemned these military actions targeting the security and sovereignty of states and threatening the stability of the region.
He also affirmed the Czech Republic’s rejection of any practices that undermine regional security and stability.
HE The President also praised Qatar’s role in supporting peace efforts and enhancing regional stability, commending its approach based on dialogue and diplomacy.
He further stressed the need for urgent action to stop the military operations and contain the escalation, calling for intensified international efforts to reach a swift solution to the crisis in a way that preserves the security and stability of the region.
Both sides also affirmed the importance of prioritising political and diplomatic solutions and adhering to the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, in a way that enhances peace and security at the regional and international levels.
