Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force “Lekhwiya” HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani met with Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Spain HE Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gómez, during His Excellency’s visit to Spain.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the cooperation between the two friendly countries and discussed ways to further strengthen and develop them, particularly in the security field, in addition to exchanging views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force “Lekhwiya” and his Spanish counterpart signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation between the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of the Interior of the Kingdom of Spain regarding security arrangements for the FIFA World Cup 2030.
