Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has stepped up field monitoring of schools at the start of the 2026-2027 academic year, with Undersecretary Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi visiting two schools in Al Jumailiyah to assess their readiness and the smooth start of classes.
Dr. Al Nuaimi visited Al Jumailiyah Primary, Preparatory and Secondary School for Girls and Al Jumailiyah Primary, Preparatory and Secondary School for Boys to review the progress of the educational process and assess preparations to receive students, particularly efforts to provide a supportive learning environment.
During the visits, the Undersecretary met with school administrations as well as teaching and administrative staff and attended parts of classroom lessons. He checked on students’ attendance and the stability of the educational process during its first week, while touring the schools as part of the Ministry’s ongoing field follow-up to ensure safe and stimulating learning environments.
Dr. Al Nuaimi also discussed a number of issues related to the education sector with school officials and students and listened to their views and observations. He stressed the importance of teamwork and addressing any challenges facing the educational process to create an attractive school environment for students and teachers that meets high standards of quality, security and safety.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Al Nuaimi said the visit reflected the Ministry’s commitment to monitoring students’ conditions on the ground, checking schools’ readiness and stability, and ensuring that all necessary requirements and facilities are in place for the smooth operation of the educational process.
He said schools had reached a high level of readiness, noting that the Ministry had provided the necessary inputs and conditions to ensure a successful and stable start to the new academic year, particularly amid the exceptional circumstances in the region.
He said this demonstrated the efficiency of Qatar’s education system and its ability to adapt and respond to changing circumstances.
The Undersecretary also praised the efforts of school leaders, teachers and administrative staff across the country, commending their commitment and professionalism in preparing and organising the start of the academic year. He stressed that human resources remain a fundamental pillar for the success of the educational process and the achievement of its objectives.
The Ministry had completed its preparations for the new academic year, with teaching and administrative staff beginning work before students returned.
