This season marks the eleventh edition of the programme, which continues its journey in embedding agricultural and sustainability concepts among students. This year, around 500 male and female students from 47 public and private schools participated, representing various educational stages.

Over the past years, the programme has successfully reached more than 4,000 students through an applied educational experience that introduced them to healthy food production methods, cultivation of vegetables and ornamental plants, as well as fostering initiative, self-reliance, and practical, responsible use of available resources.

In his speech, H E Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani expressed his pride in the outstanding level demonstrated by participating schools and students, affirming that the foundation continues to launch qualitative programmes that contribute to building the capabilities of future generations and developing their scientific, technical, and engineering skills, supporting their academic and professional futures.

He also noted that agriculture has become an essential part of daily life and is no longer limited to traditional farming areas, but is now possible in various environments when knowledge, skills, and determination are available.

Eng. Abdullatif Ali Al-Yafei emphasised that the foundation places great importance on sustainability, aiming to raise students’ awareness of agriculture and its role in achieving future food security and self-sufficiency. He highlighted that real investment begins with empowering students with knowledge and skills.

Sara Issa Al Sherim, Director of Curriculum and Learning Resources at MoEHE, stated that the “Farm Your Country” programme represents a practical model of true learning based on research, inquiry, and hands-on experience. She emphasised the importance of transforming the school environment into a space that fosters critical thinking, innovation, and teamwork, while strengthening students’ connection to sustainability and social responsibility.
