Doha: The State of Qatar welcomed Friday the United Nations Support Mission in Libya's announcement of a permanent ceasefire agreement in all areas of Libya.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised, in a statement today, the efforts made by the UN envoy to Libya and expressed hope that the agreement would endure and be preserved.
The statement expressed the State of Qatar's wishes that announcement becomes a first step towards a comprehensive political solution that maintains the unity of Libyan land, respects the rights of the Libyan people, and helps found a state that respects the rule of law and civil institutions.
