Doha, Qatar: Qatar coach Hakan Demir yesterday named the 12-man squad for today’s clash against China in the second stage of the Asian qualifiers for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027.
The match will be hosted at Al Janoub Arena with kick-off scheduled at 7pm. The roster includes Mostafa Fouda, Mike Lewis, Mahmoud Darwish, Abdullah Musa, Ndawi Elhaj Sidou, Abdullah Saad, Mohammed Hashem, Ousmane Dieng, Osama Arafa, Abdulrahman, Omar Saad, and Aladji Bobo Magassa.
Saadoun Sabah Al‑Kuwari, Secretary General of the Qatar Basketball Federation and Director of National Teams, oversees team management. Jassim Ibrahim Ashkanani serves as Team Manager, assisted by Nabil Jumaa.
Head coach Demir is supported by Cengiz Karadağ (Assistant Coach), Maurice Mimic (Second Assistant Coach), and Abdou Sow (Third Assistant Coach). Mohammed Vural is responsible for physical preparation and fitness training.
The medical staff includes Adel Harmiya (Team Doctor), Dr. Adel Salim (Physiotherapist), and Nicacio Sagaino (Massage Therapist).
Qatar recently held a 10‑day training camp in Turkiye before returning to Doha.
