Qatar Airways advises travellers not to proceed to HIA without flight confirmation

Doha, Qatar: Following a morning update announcing limited number of relief flights, Qatar Airways has urged travellers not to proceed to Hamad International Airport unless they receive notification confirming their flight. 

In a service update at 5pm, Doha Time, today, March 5, 2026, Qatar Airways said that due to the current situation and temporary airspace closures by the relevant authorities affecting parts of the region, Qatar Airways has started to organise and operate a limited number of relief flights to assist passengers affected by the current situation and temporary airspace closures across the region.

It said that it is working around the clock to organise additional relief flights where operationally possible and will share further updates as soon as they are confirmed.

The airlines added, "Affected passengers will be contacted directly by Qatar Airways with their flight details, arrangements and next steps." It further request passengers to not to proceed to the airport unless they have received an official notification from Qatar Airways confirming their flight.

"For Qatar Airways passengers currently in Doha, airline representatives are available in designated hotels to assist with questions regarding relief flights and travel arrangements. Please ensure your contact details are up to date so we can reach you with important information," the airline said adding that details can be updated via Qatar Airways website or the Qatar Airways mobile app.
